MS Stubnitz passing Copenhagen's Norrebro 2009Ahoi, and welcome to the MS Stubnitz website.
The Motorship Stubnitz is an 80 meters long old fishing vessel, which was build in 1964 and is transformed into a moving platform for cultural research and exchange now since 1992.
From its homeport Rostock the Stubnitz travels around the Baltic and Northern Sea, heading towards cities like Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Newcastle Upon Tyne, Hamburg, Sankt Petersburg and so on.
Within the last years many different artist, bands, projects, performances and stage-plays took place inside the belly of the ship. This huge variety of different content has been preserved in a media archive, located on the ship itself and now visible on this homepage, some parts at least.
The Stubnitz and its crew is waiting for new things to come up: new harbours, concerts, parties and people, so get in touch.
