Del Judas is composer Charlie Schmid's blackened Americana project. Shimmering reverb and thundering rhythms roil, shake and seduce the dust off your boots. Melancholy melodies meet 80s hard pop that delves into darkness on the edge of town. The artist behind such infamous, progressive, cult, chamber-oriented projects as maudlin of the Well and Kayo Dot injected new life into his long-dormant solo project early last year with his first album in a decade.

Driver returns with They Are the Shield, the prolific composer's first album in over twelve years that harks back to songwriting structures developed and perfected in his maudlin of the Well days.

Notes of singer-songwriter sensibilities simmer beneath a fog of synthesizers, expansive soundscapes, lush chamber orchestrations, and sullen atmospheres, punctuated and driven with a soft percussive heartbeat.

Imagine Bob Dylan deconstructed. Imagine motW without the metal or Kayo Dot without the chaos.

Toby Driver returns with one of the strongest entries in his abundant and celebrated career, signifying a complete evolution into artistic maturity. They Are the Shield delivers experimental chamber songs for the darkest of autumn days, recounting the rare and ethereal essence of such eminent luminaries as Ulver, Kauan, and Olafur Arnalds.

Konzert und Record Release

Engel im Rausch heißt das inzwischen 5. Album der Grausamen Töchter, das im Herbst 2018 erscheint. Neben 17 Tracks mit ca 75 Minuten Dauer gibt es auch ein Bonus-Album mit Remixen u. a. von AND ONE, SUICIDE COMMANDO und CENTHRON. Das Ereignis wird in einer opulenten Konzert- und Partynacht natürlich in Hamburg am 30.11.2018 auf der MS Stubnitz gefeiert. Grausame Töchter stellen ihre neue ekstatische Show für die kommende Tour in einem 90minütigen Konzert vor.

Davor werden sie von sehr unterschiedlichen Künstlern wie UNTERSCHICHT, DEVIL-M, BETON BRAUT und BARABAZ supportet. Desdemona Sin von den SINDERELLAS wird den Abend moderieren. Ab Mitternacht legt dann die Berliner DJane Thenia AF zur Party auf.

Mit ihrem aktuellen Album "A Life Where Theres No More Pain" zeigen Life Of Agony, dass sie nach wie vor zu den wichtigsten Bands des Alternative Metal gehören. Auf ihrer Rise Of The Underground Tour beweisen Mina Caputo und ihre Jungs nun auch live, dass die Songs dieser Comeback-Platte mindestens auf Augenhöhe mit den Stücken von Großtaten wie "River Runs Red" und "Soul Searching Sun" stehen.

Zum Auftakt der Deutschland-Termine haben sich Life Of Agony etwas Besonderes überlegt: Am 10. Oktober spielen sie im kleinen Rahmen im stählernen Bauch der MS Stubnitz im Hamburger Hafen - das Ticketkontingent ist begrenzt. Bei allen Terminen werden übrigens Billy Bio, das neue Projekt von Billy Graziadei (Biohazard, Powerflo), dabei sein, um alte und neue Hardcore- und Crossover-Kracher zu präsentieren.

Some people need to create in order to remain sane and BONE ZENO confesses he is one of those lost souls who will need to drain the beastly venom of hyperactivity from his veins until the Devil needs an overcoat. An animal of instinct, he tunes into a higher power allowing creativity to flow and mutate into the plethora of musical styles that can be found in his recordings and live performances. Born in the 1970s, BONE ZENO is one of the Last Mohicans: a bastard child of Hippiedom and Punk Anarchy, bringing their message to present and future generations.
This nomadic musician considers himself a Londoner, but has rested his head on many a dirty pillow. His one track mind concentrating on the creation of music that embodies his spirit, he takes inspiration from an array of surprising stimuli. Arab rhythms played in a Marakesh cab ride, bustling traffic and his own footsteps pounding down the Reeperbahn, the energy of rage in his Slayer records... all these coagulate as acacophonous soup poured into primitive mobile phone recordings, to later be dissected and repeated over and over until the shambolic storm of self-hate and love is refined and tamed into something that sounds like him and no-one else.
Moody and alone, but not a loner, BONE ZENO is usually a solo act. In 2016, however, BONE ZENO was signed to Berlin music label Impression,a move that conducted the static cloud that was his European tour (see also: homelessness) and discharged it in the form of his first album, BLACK MILK, recorded at Impression’s studio with three guest musicians. The title and indeed musical content of BLACK MILK has so much poetic vibration, he explains: “You don’t see the light if there is no dark”.
